Well it’s over a year since we started phase 1 of our project to do more of the good stuff we do!

You can probably tell from the date of the last blog that we had a busy second half of the year and pretty much took that all the way to Christmas! Merry Christmas by the way and Happy New Year!

We had an extended cycle trip season last year, starting in May with the first School Holland trip of 2019 and the last one at the end of September with a number of School C2C challenges and 2 day overnight rides during that time.

Thanks to all our schools. We love what we do and know you love it too!

We also had a busy summer with an extensive cycling programme across July, August and into the early days of September. Chopwell Woods was the venue and we were working with some brilliant community groups organised by Forestry England and Gateshead Council. We look forward to more of the same this year.

Thanks also to our existing and new workshop customers who have been brilliantly supportive and coming in such numbers that Mario and (now) Artur have been extremely busy (and happy) in the workshop. Remember our commercial work helps to support the good work we do in schools and across the community.

So 2020 will be more of the same? Yes, but better! Also new schools, new programmes, NHS and Social Prescribing and E bikes!

We are serious about what we do and we like E bikes because they offer that extra encouraging hand to get on the bike and discover cycling. With that in mind we have been loaning out an E bike to different users to get a feel for how they are as part of normal everyday riding. We have our first ‘report’ in our next blog that follows.

So here’s to 2020! We’re off, power assisted or not!
