Description
This course is designed for those who want to take a deep dive into Bicycle Mechanics. This course is based on 4 hrs of tuition with a break for lunch, but could take longer depending on the topics covered. The course can start right off with the basics and work onto more in depth mechanics as we progress through the day.
For the course we will be working on your own bike; what’s the point in learning to tune MTB suspension, if you’re a roadie!? Learning how to fix your own bike will give you the best chance of being able to practice your skills in the future. This has the added benefit of making sure your bike leaves the workshop, in a better condition than it came in!
We can focus on anything you would like to in relation to bicycle maintenance. Some things we can include on the course are;
Learn about changing tyres and tubes or tubeless setups.
Learn about drivetrain maintenance – replacing cables, sizing chains and more.
Learn how to replace a spoke.
Learn how to index gears.
Learn how to adjust your brakes, including bleeding on hydraulic systems.
Learn how to clean and lubricate transmission components
Learn how to service, hubs, headset and Bottom Bracket
However, this is not an exhaustive list so please get in touch with us to discuss as below.
Book your course now and we will be in touch to arrange the date. Alternatively get in touch via workshop@bike4health.org to enquire about availability and your specific requirements.
