Description
1:1 Maintenance Course – Standard
The course will focus on the kind of mechanics we perform during a ‘standard service’.
This course is designed for those who are beginners or want to look at a specific area of bicycle mechanics. This course is based on 2 hrs of tuition but could take longer depending on the topics covered. This course is intended for absolute beginners who want to get started, or those looking to learn about a very narrow area of bicycle mechanics.
For the course we will be working on your own bike; what’s the point in learning to tune MTB suspension, if you’re a roadie!? Learning how to fix your own bike will give you the best chance of being able to practice your skills in the future. This has the added benefit of making sure your bike leaves the workshop, in a better condition than it came in! We can focus on anything you would like to in relation to bicycle maintenance. Some things we can include on the course are;
Learn about changing tyres and tubes or tubeless setups. Learn about drivetrain and chainset. Learn how to index gears. Learn how to adjust your brakes. Learn how to clean and lubricate transmission components
However, this is not an exhaustive list so please get in touch with us to discuss as below. Book your course now and we will be in touch to arrange the date. Alternatively get in touch via workshop@bike4health.org to enquire about availability and your specific requirements. Any parts fitted during your course will be charged on top of the course cost.
