Off-site Rides
Our cycling programmes are designed to engage groups in outdoor activity which delivers many positive learning outcomes for both the whole group and individual students. Following on from on-site coaching, off-site rides are a incentive to pupils to develop their cycling skills, get out there, and experience the world for themselves.
We recognise the benefits of learning outdoors, not only in supporting curriculum learning but also in many personal development areas such as:
- Teamwork
- Communication
- Leading and Supporting
- Challenge and Risk
- Personal Resilience
- Motivation
- Self Confidence
- Problem Solving and Decision Making
- Learning a New Skill
- Awareness of Our Environment

Our cycling programmes address obesity and challenge the sedentary lifestyles that many children lead – one in four Year 6 children are obese at the point they leave school (NHS England, 2020). By engaging children in cycling, we support personal development, but also improve overall physical and mental wellbeing.
We deliver our cycling programmes from the school gate or from our base and we have use of extensive private and public facilities through our relationships with local councils and landowners such as Forestry England, including trails, fields, and woods for learning and exploring on and off the bike.
You don’t need to worry about equipment. We can provide the following as part of our packages:
- Frog Bikes
- Helmets
- Jackets
- Spares
- Local Mechanic support
Our fleet of Frog bikes are high quality kids bikes, regularly professionally maintained by our cytech mechanics.
